Plan A Visit
What to Expect
We know what it can be like to walk into somewhere new, it can sometimes be scary and uncomfortable. At the Inverness Church of God, we work hard to make you feel welcome and accepted. We are a friendly church with people of all ages.
We at the Inverness church of God would like to extend an invitation for you to come and be a part of our church family. We meet on Sunday and Wednesday, and would love for you to be a part of this experience. We believe that God’s Word has the ability to change lives. We hope that you will join us.

Here are some answers to questions that we think may benefit you
What are your services like?
Each weekend at ICOG, you’ll find a friendly atmosphere with exciting blended worship music, and a practical relevant message based on the Bible. Children are cared for in a loving, fun filled environment.
How do I fit in?
We will provide you with the resources to grow in your faith and understanding of God’s plan for your life. You can become as involved as you choose to be. Our focus is becoming a church where there is a sense of unity even though we are all different.
What do I need to wear?
Come as you are. We are interested in you, not your wardrobe. Many in our congregation wear jeans, some dress up, but everyone is accepted and welcome.
What about my children?
We provide nursery childcare during all of our services. Our kid’s church for 1st-5th grades meets during our 10:15am weekend services. Students, 6th-12th grades are encouraged to sit with their families during the Sunday morning service, or also serve in one of our ministries.
If I visit, will I be singled out as a guest?
We take a moment to say “Welcome” to our guests, but nothing would be done that will embarrass you. For example, you would not be asked to stand or say anything, or otherwise be made to feel uncomfortable.
Will I be asked for money?
No, we do not harass our people for money, and we would certainly not ask a newcomer to contribute financially to our ministry. Although we do provide an opportunity to give, any offerings you give would completely be your decision.
Will I be contacted or placed on a mailing list?
We customarily contact newcomers to thank them for attending, and notify them of upcoming events or ministries that might be of interest to them. The contact comes by way of email, phone call, or mail. No one will show up at your house unannounced. You will be given a contact card to fill out, however you certainly have the option to share only that which makes you feel comfortable. The contact card allows us to pray for you by name.
